It is very important that you choose the right thermal transfer ribbon for your labels and the right format for your label printer. The bond achieved with a well-matched printing ribbon to a label substrate is critical. With the right ribbon and printer settings, you get the best print quality and durability, sometimes even avoiding the need for a protective film laminate.

Product Types

Ribbons are classified in four categories:

• Wax
• Wax/Resin
• Resin
• Care

Features

A number of factors should all be taken into consideration when choosing Barcode Ribbon, i.e.:

• Media Type: Whether printing on Paper or Film or Taffeta
• Media Width: Ribbon width should be more than media width.
• Printer Type: Flat-head, or Near-edge, or TTO
• Core: 1 inch ID or 1/2 inch ID. Fixed Width or as per Ribbon Width. Whether notches required or not
• Ink Side: Whether coated side 'in' or 'out'
• Print Color: Black or Coloured.
